Description

A Zuni Black-On-White Bowl
c. 1820 - 1850

Provenance:
From the Estate of Liz Claiborne and Arthur Ortenberg

Diameter: 10 ¼ inches

Condition Report*: In overall good, but very worn condition. No major breaks. One crack, approx. 1" in length, descending from the rim. Another hairline crack of the same length apparent only on the interior below the rim. Surface with two areas of loss, one in the basin and the other on the exterior wall. Otherwise, surface with heavy wear, including loss to slip and crazing overall. No apparent restoration.
