WESTERN BONGO SHOULDER MOUNT
Tragelaphus euryceros euryceros
This large-bodied antelope is the most coveted by trophy hunters of all the horned animals of Africa. They live in the thick jungles of the Central African Republic, Congo, and Cameroon and are very difficult and expensive to hunt. Both sexes have horns and those of this large female mount have beautiful ivory tips. The taxidermy work was done by Jonas Brothers of New York and is very good. It measures 33¼ inches from the wall and 30½ inches high.
