Due to the harsh environment and poor sources of nutrition in most of its range, the South African Springbuck is about 25% smaller than the rest of the Springbuck family, one of the most plentiful and beautiful of all the world's gazelles. The South African variety once roamed the plains by the millions but now live mainly on private ranches. This is an average-sized male with above average-quality taxidermy, measuring 14½ inches from the wall and 25½ inches high.
