IRANIAN RED SHEEP SHOULDER MOUNT

The Red Sheep is believed to be a hybrid between the Armenian Mouflon and the Transcaspian Urial. This cross occurs naturally in the Alborz Mountains of northern Iran and in the Kavir Desert of north-central Iran. This specimen is a mature ram, with horns measuring 23½ x 23 inches around the curls, each 8¾ inches around the base. He stands out 17¾ inches from the wall and 21½ high.
