We wish to thank the artist for describing this painting: "The direct translation is '1 is 1.' In this art, there are negative '1' (black) and positive '1' (gold). When the golden '1' fits into the black '1,' there is nothing anymore. But if you pay attention to '1,' there is '1.' In other words, you have to consciously try to look for '1' to see '1.' This is also an idea from Zen philosophy."
