    NOTE:
    This original gouache was a full-page color illustration in McCall's for a feature by Russell Lynes entitled "How to Tell Men Apart." The work belonged to Nettie King, close friend of Miguel Covarrubias and wife of writer Alexander King. Nettie King was Covarrubias' longtime agent within the magazine industry.

    Condition Report*: Sheet is hinged to board via upper corners verso; minor creasing to the two lower corners; small spots of brown discoloration affecting the margins; two small pinholes affecting the upper margin; dry adhesive present verso.
