This drawing will be included in the catalogue raisonné of Max Beckmann's drawings currently being prepared by Dr. Stephan von Wiese and Hedda Finke, Berlin. We thank them for their invaluable cataloguing assistance. The work is a sketch for the larger ink drawing Badetreppe, signed and dated "Beckmann / 28 / Juli / Boulder (Co) 1949."
