    Titled center

Lloyd Goff was the mural assistant to Reginald Marsh for the U. S. Customs House mural in 1937. Paintings from this period indicate Goff accompanied Marsh in his explorations of the "bottom crust" of New York society. Like Marsh, Goff was interested in Bowery Bums, vulgar party-goers, and yes, Coney Island.

This scene is located on the corner of West 8th Street and the Boardwalk. The famous Coney Island roller coaster "Cyclone" and the "Wonder Wheel" Ferris wheel are prominent in the composition.

    Provenance:
    Estate of Lloyd Goff
