The present drawing relates closely to Klimt's sketch of the same woman with wavy hair and strong jawline, though seen more frontally, which is in the collection of the Albertina Museum, Vienna (inv. no. 30248), also illustrated in Strobl, no. 2692.


Condition Report*: On stable paper support. Discoloration to sheet, the extent of which is visible at extreme edges of sheet; this area is not visible when the mat is closed. A very few soft creases and minor undulation to the sheet visible under raking light. Sheet is cornered to window mat measuring 26 1/2 by 19 inches. Framed under acrylic.
