In the years preceding World War II, German-born artist Edmund Kinzinger emigrated to the United States, settling in Waco, Texas, where he served as chairman of the art department at Baylor University. Throughout the 1930s and 40s, he was an active exhibitor on the Texas art scene, with work shown in the Texas Centennial Exhibition, the Greater Texas and Pan-American Exposition, the Texas Panorama, and many more.
Condition Report*:
Presents well. Some overall toning to the sheet. Pinholes in corners, not visible when framed. Hard creasing in lower right corner. Some additional scattered soft creases visible under raking light. Sheet is hinged to window mat along upper edge of verso. Framed under glass.
