The present work was originally published on page 37 of the June 9, 1951 issue of The New Yorker Magazine. This work was later republished on page 8 of Homebodies by Charles Addams (Simon & Schuster, 1954). It was again republished on page 62 of My Crowd by Charles Addams (Simon & Schuster,1970).
