NOTE:
This work is a maquette for the stage set of the play "Patron" by Marcel Aymè for the Roland Petit Ballets.
The authenticity of this painting has been confirmed by Galerie Maurice Garnier.
Condition Report*:
On stable paper support with raw edges and Rives watermark. Galerie David et Garnier stamp on sheet verso, along with 'Pa 9' in black ink. A few instances of finely patterned craquelure affecting the black oil paint. Slight discoloration and some minor chipping and bumping to extreme edges and corners of sheet. Otherwise, there appear to be no major condition issues affecting the work. Sheet is floated and framed under glass.
