    Artist critiquing his drawings: (window) 5 x 5 inches.

    Three of the four drawings depict aspects of the artistic process, which delighted Paul Gregory. The fourth, showing a large family assembled around a long dining room table, recalls Bemelmans' famous illustrations for his series of Madeline children's books.

    Condition Report*: Each matted in a window mat, preserved under a sheet of glass with black taped edges. Mats have yellowed over the years but the drawings are fresh and unfaded. Drawings are tipped against backing cardboard and not laid down.
