An important early Robert Wood bluebonnet painting.
Robert Wood moved to Texas in 1924 and lived in Corpus Christi, San Antonio and Helotes. During this time his painting talents were honed with instruction from his good friend Jose Arpa. Wood stayed in the Texas Hill Country until 1941, the year this painting was completed.
Provenance: Acquired from the artist by the present owner in the 1940's
