A terrific small painting of a cluttered farm yard complete with chicken coop, chickens, junk pile, hanging laundry, and a grazing horse. Fred Darge roamed the Southwest in his converted World War II ambulance seeking scenes of farmers, ranchers, livestock, and the great wide open spaces in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Colorado.
Acquired from the artist's estate by the present owner
