He is well known across the United States for keeping alive the Texas landscape painting tradition. This majestic painting of Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park is an example of A. D. Greer at his best. The creek at the bottom of the canyon flows into the Rio Grande, which serves as the border between Texas and Mexico.
