Berla Emeree was a liberated woman in the days when women had few rights. Adventurous and independent she would often take off into the wild and untamed regions of the west to paint. Far from being afraid of camping out or travelling alone, Berla explored and painted where few women had previously been.
Her paintings have been exhibited at the Texas Fine Art Association; Dallas Museum of Art; Museum of New Mexico, Santa Fe; International Museum, El Paso; Fort Worth Museum of Art; Southern States Art League; and the Edgar B. Davis Wildflower Competition, San Antonio.
