Description

T-rex Dinosaur Tooth
Tyrannosaurus rex
Late Cretaceous
Hell Creek Formation
Montana, USA

T-rex is, and has remained, THE most iconic of all Dinosaur varieties, having captured the imagination of adults and children alike for centuries. The "Reptile King" was the apex predator of the Late Cretaceous environment in which it thrived and dominated. The monstrous theropod had a huge skull which was of course filled with large and impressive teeth. This example of such dentition is a virtually pristine tooth, in terms of it having exceptional preservation, incredible serrations, nice curvature and classic dark color consistent with its Hell Creek Formation origin. The phenomenal tooth from Montana exhibits NO visible restoration and measures well over 3 inches (7.6 cm) in length. This tooth resided in the collection of the legendary Larry League for years before becoming available. Rex teeth of this quality are quite the rarity.
Overall Measurements: 3.32 x 1.52 x 1.10 inches (8.44 x 3.86 x 2.80 cm)

Provenance: Ex. Larry League Collection

[Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
