    A William Spratling Mexican Silver and Amethyst Brooch, Taxco, circa 1940-1946
    Marks: WS (conjoined), SPRATLING, MADE IN MEXICO, SPRATLING SILVER
    2-1/4 inches wide (5.7 cm)
    1.54 troy ounces

    The brooch with a large, ovoid dark amethyst cabochon, with a band and ball border, safety clasp to verso.
