The enameled clock face within silver gilt open work frame mounted within enameled case with painted scene to reverse, crowned with cast figure of cupid set on blue enameled pedestal, case rests on arch with champlevé enamel work to front with birds and reverse with figures amidst floral and foliate design, arch raised on two columns with cast enameled figural finials standing on frieze of mermaids, one figure holding a banner and the other with a mirror in one hand and a snake wound around arm, enameled columns rise from arcaded base with cast figure in each niche, later lapis base.
