    Marks: (VC-baton-A), 18K, (lynx), 8.54
3-1/4 inches long (8.3 cm) (case)
    174 grams (gross)

The rectangular case with coral red enamel within a black border to either side, delicately enameled Chinese court lady to the obverse with gold paillon stars to her robe and chrysanthemum detail to her hairpin, an applied gold cartouche with three diamond to the left of the figure, to verso a gold lacquered Chinese character at the bottom right corner, bezel-set obsidian thumb press to the side, opening to a dual compartment interior with a mirror, double black cord leading to a lipstick tube handle with corresponding enamel and barren branch motif.

    Estimate: $10,000 - $15,000.

    Condition Report*:

Housed in its original fitted retailer's case. Light rubbing and loss to the lacquered Chinese character to verso, light surface scratches to the enameling on the case with a scratch to the left black band to verso, one of the loops to the lipstick appears to have been re-attached, wear to the tube consistent with it being used as a handle. Cord may be of a later vintage. Presents well.
