    The cushion-shape hinged box with pink guilloché enamel on moiré ground, cover with chased laurel leaf border, flange set with rose-cut diamonds, and centered with a gold 10 ruble coin showing Catherine the Great dated 1769 within a border of rose-cut diamonds, lid opens to gilt interior.

    Condition Report*:

    One patch of heavy scratching to gilding to interior floor exposing silver base, light vertical scratch to coin and rubbing, otherwise in apparently good condition with wear commensurate with age and use. Housed in later fitted case.
