    A German Silver and Hardstone Covered Cup

    In the 17th century style, the globular body with repoussé strapwork and cherub head decoration with pendant floral motifs, inset with bezel-set rock crystal, amethyst, carnelian and lapis lazuli stones; the domed lid with repousse cherub head decoration inset with bezel-set rock crystal and lapis lazuli, surmounted by a cast female figure holding a staff and shield; raised on baluster stem with repoussé floral pendants and cherubs with flared base with cherub heads inset with bezel-set green stone and lapis lazuli.
