    A Ludwig Neresheimer & Co. Silver Nef, Hanau, Germany, early 20th century
    Marks: (lion rampant), (thistle), (shield-n), IS, (London import mark), 925, k
    15-1/4 x 16 x 5-3/4 inches (38.7 x 40.6 x 14.6 cm)
    62.07 troy ounces


    The three-masted galleon-form nef, consisting of two distinct halves, featuring free-moving double pennants, square rigging to fore- and mainmasts, with lateen rigging to mizzenmast, applied deck sailors, arcaded trim to surrounding and aft railings, and free-hanging anchor at bowspirit, with chased parcel-gilt heralding nereids trailed by arabesquing sea flora to hull, hinged dolphin-form rudder, and terminating in hippocampi-form covers over functional wheels.

    Condition Report*: Presents well, with detached flag to center mast included, and scattered minor pushes to sails and railings.
