A CHINESE EXPORT SILVER TWO-HANDLED COVERED FIGURAL STANDING CUP

The cup with dragon head finial atop the covered lid with chased repoussé decoration of serpentine forms and grapes vines, having two applied naturalistic handles in the form of vines issuing grapes and leaves, the body with chased repoussé scenes of Asian figures in traditional attire in landscape and interior settings and centered with a plain shield, the cup raised on a figural baluster standard flanked by a child, faun and flowers and set on a naturalistic ground, the whole further raised on a circular foot with chased vines and fruit, silver gilt interior.
