    From a Midwest Estate

    The ewer with grape cluster applied finial on the hinged lid, having applied S-scroll handle, the body with a central band of chased repoussé flowers and scrolls and an engraved rooster within mirrored C-scrolls, the whole raised on a circular foot with acanthus leaves and shaped rim.


    Condition Report*:

    The hinged lid does not sit flush against rim, maker's mark clearly decipherable under hinged lid, with surface scratches commensurate with age.
