    The covered two loop-handled hot water urn raised on square plinth with four anthemion feet, chased repoussé berried vine at rim, applied wave band above fluted lower with band and fluting repeated on waisted lid with acorn finial, contemporary coat of arms engraved above spigot and to lid (Grimwade 1670).




    Condition Report*:

    repair to flang of lid, lid does not sit tightly, lid could have been a later coupling with urn while the band to the cover is repeated to the belly of the urn as is the manner of fluting suggesting a mate, surface scratches commensurate with age
