    The tank of exquisite form and craftsmanship having figural boar's head finial raised on domed anthemion leaf-embellished lid, acorn leaf and nut thumbrest, lid engraved follow me, scrolled handle with detail leaf-mounts to joints, body in classical baluster form exhibiting geometric patterned chasework, front bearing thistle and rose-framed cartouche in high relief with traditional Scottish figure in clan dress, pennant below with FOR AULD LANG SYNE in relief, below monogrammed JL to TAC 1821, raised on circular base with conforming chasework, interior with gold wash.

    Condition Report*:

    Base slightly warped, very minor pin dents to body, with surface scratches and wear commensurate with age and use. A handsome example of a late George III period tankard.
