    The oval sugar box on four bun feet, hinged stepped cover engraved at center with Bishop's mitre flanked by plumes tied with ribbon, three-knuckle hinged latch at front, the lid interior with later commemorative inscription reading This Tobacco Box of Bishop Sanderson descended to me as follows: A.D.1717. Neville King married Mary Middlemore, only child of Rich. Middlemore by Elizabeth (Sanderson) his wife, daughter of Dr. Thomas Sanderson, who was the eldest son of The Right Rev.d Loyal, and Learned Casuist Ashby Hall, 1873. John Wm King, BD 6th in descent. Unmarked companion spoon engraved with Bishop's mitre to bowl reverse.
