    The slightly tapered cylindrical pitcher with banded cut glass body and silver gilt rim, base, lid and handle, the rim with chased repoussé winged female masks linked by ribboned swags, the lip with acanthus decoration centering circular reserve monogrammed HSM, swirled pattern domed lid surmounted by cast eagle , D-shaped acanthus topped handle wrapped with scrolled foliate and pomegranate decoration, the base with alternating swirled, beaded and wheat decoration.

    Displaying a wealth of Beaux Arts decorative motifs, this pitcher bears the date mark of 1893 which coincides with the World's Columbian Exposition held in Chicago, Illinois.
