    The trophy having wide two-handled bowl surmounting bell-shaped base, bronze arrowheads to bell collar engraved with presentation inscriptions, below to presentation shield in relief LACROSSE CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY PRESENTED BY ROBERT M. THOMPSON, PUBLIC SCHOOLS ATHLETIC LEAGUE, 1910 , flanked by two acid-etched lacrosse players, conforming bronze arrowheads encircling base; award years listed range from 1910-1915, 1917, 1925-1926, 1928-1931.

    Condition Report*:

    Rubbing and missing plating to scattered areas of bell base, some bubbling and flaking to plating throughout, errant nicking and scratching, some dents to footed base of bell, other scattered dents, errant pit spots, with wear commensurate with age, polishing, and use. According to a historical description of a lacrosse trophy given by a Robert M. Thompson to the Public Schools Athletic League, this trophy may have been created with an upper portion depicting a seated Native American. The current bowl is possibly a replacement.
