    PROPERTY FROM THE COLLECTION OF DR. & MRS. HAROLD EKLUND, DES MOINES, IOWA

    The ovular covered butter surmounted by a heraldic lion and shield-form finial, bright-cut and chased scroll and foliate decoration framing medallions to either side of the lid, flanking flared and stippled handles with cast scroll and foliate decoration, die-rolled intersecting line border to the rim, cinched waist, raised on a oval foot, fitted mazarine, dated OCT. 1867.


    Condition Report*:

    Light nicking to the lid and foot, minor scratches to the mazarine, otherwise with surface scratches commensurate with age.
