The two vessels surmounted by toupie finials with reeded edges, stovepipe lids with ruffled and reeded edges, gadrooned banding to collars, down to bodies with sectioned gadrooning throughout, scrolled handles with ivory insulators, to beaded collars to standards, reeded accents to stepped rounded bases on raised pedestals, monogrammed AB and EKC to bodies.
Note: the H&G mark has also been attributed to New Orleans silversmith firm Hyde and Goodrich.
Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000.
Four noticeable dents and large dent with crease to coffee pot body as well as scattered pin dents, base does not sit perfectly flush, scattered denting and visible repair to teapot, denting and wear to gadrooned peaks to teapot, standard to teapot appears to be slightly bent, otherwise good condition with surface scratches commensurate with polishing, age, and use.
