The baluster coffee pot having domed lid with toupie finial, ruffled rim with trunk-like texture, down to knotted rope collar, curved handle with crosshatching throughout, body with woven texture, tall low-set spout with conforming design.
A similar coffee pot is illustrated in Silver in America, pg. 169, collection of the Dallas Museum of Art. This coffee pot was part of a series of textile-inspired designs manufactured by Whiting in the early 1880s.
Tiny pin dent to lid, age-related cracking to insulators, minor dimples to lid near hinge from natural contact, otherwise good with surface scratches commensurate with age, polishing, and use.
