    A GERMAN SILVER AND SILVER GILT CIGARETTE CASE WITH INNER HIDDEN ENAMEL SCENE
    Unknown maker, Germany, circa 1905
    Marks: M&C, 925, (import mark for Birmingham), f
    3-1/4 inches long (8.3 cm)
    6.2 ounces (gross)

    Unadorned rectangular cigarette case with cabochon set violet stone to push button latch, opens to a gilt interior with hidden painted enamel panel depicting three female nudes in a circle. Originally imported by Marks & Cohen, Birmingham, England.

    Condition Report*: In very good condition with enamel intact, some minor loss of gilt to interior and surface scratches commensurate with age.
