    The 18 karat gold match safe with raised and chased foliate design, cobalt blue over chartreuse enamel ground, hinged lid reveals chartreuse enamel to interior. Originally retailed by Tiffany & Co., Paris, France.

    The important French jewelry designer and manufacturer Georges le Saché provided enameled works for the Paris shop of Tiffany & Co., located at 36 avenue de l'Opera. As one of the most sought-after designers and makers in Paris, Saché provided material to the best jewelry houses for their displays at the major International Exhibitions, receiving an award of distinction in 1901 by the Chambre Syndicate de la Bijouterie.
