The Martele bowl with undulating lobed rim and repoussé and chased floral decoration, monogrammed AME.

According to the Gorham archives, this bowl was begun on September 27, 1906. Thirty hours were spent by James Leckenby for the making of the bowl and another 46.5 hours were required for the chasing which was done by George A.F. Shakel. The net cost for production was $112.00. Originally the interior of the bowl was gilded.
