The shaped oval bowl with undulating lobed rim on four waves, overall hand hammered finish with repoussé and finely chased floral design, gilt interior, inscribed to bottom D 1884-1909.

According to the Gorham archive, this bowl was begun on October 31, 1907. Fifty hours were spent on the making of the bowl and another 132.5 hours were required for the chasing which was done by David Wilmot. The net cost for production was $260.
