    An American Mixed Metal Writing Tray

    Gorham Manufacturing Co., Providence, Rhode Island
    1882
    Copper, silver and glass
    Marks: (anchor), Gorham & Co., Y28O
    3 inches high x 9.94 inches long x 6.5 inches deep

    Of rectangular form raised on fluted ball feet; the copper tray with recessed pen holder and two square boxes with serpentine bases, rounded corners and ball-capped lids applied with silver flowers, butterfly and frog decoration; including added square glass inkwell with beveled edges and silver lid.
