    A PAIR OF WILHELM WEINRANCK LARGE HANAU SILVER, SILVER GILT AND IVORY FIGURAL WAGER CUPS
    Wilhelm Weinranck, Hanau, Germany, circa 1900
    Marks: (crescent- crown), 800, WWH
    15-1/8 inches high (38.4 cm) (groom)
    77.8 ounces (gross)

    The figural wager cups styled as a bridal couple with carved ivory heads, the bride with repoussé silver and silver gilt skirt, stylized reticulated scrolls from arms supporting the swivel-hinged shaped wager cup; the man in two parts, the upper body and garments supported by removable legs on base, stylized reticulated scrolls from arms supporting the swivel-hinged shaped wager cup.

    Condition Report*: With loss to gilding and surface scratches throughout commensurate with age, fine crazing and yellowing to ivory.
