A PAIR OF GERMAN SILVER AND SILVER GILT RENAISSANCE-STYLE STANDING COVERED CUPS

The pair of waisted standing cups with addorsed repoussé pear decoration entwined with vines and leaves on chased ground to the body, raised on twisted lobed stem with similar repoussé pear and stem decoration with reticulated scroll knop, the covers with similar repoussé pear and stem decoration, reticulated leaf standing border, and pear fruit and vine finial, gilt interiors. Bearing English import marks for B. Muller & Son of London, dating to 1896-1897.
