The ewers with studded serpentine form S-scroll applied handle with
acanthus leaf thumb rest, having an everted spout and tightly
gadrooned rim, above the helmet-form body, with chased repoussé
acanthus leaves and flowers, each side with a chased landscape
scene within a scrolling acanthus leaf cartouche upon fluted base,
set on the stepped circular foot with a beaded border and chased
floral decoration to top, the matching goblets of tulip-form and
raised on a tapering baluster standard; each goblet monogrammed
EBP, the ewers monogrammed E.B. Phillips September
In very nice condtion, likely replated, some surface rubbing and scratches, minor dents on two goblets, a lovely presentation and well preserved.
