    PROPERTY FROM THE COLLECTION OF A SOUTHERN GENTLEMAN

    The platter with interspersed ivy and flower blossoms to rim, hand-hammered texture throughout with central ground monogrammed MHM.

    According to the Gorham Archive, production of the platter began on June 29, 1909, requiring 25 hours of production time carried out by Frederick J. Buxton Sr., with an additional 90 hours of chasing by David Wilmot. The final price was $165.


    Condition Report*: Errant scratching, contact wear to underside, otherwise good with wear commensurate with age, polishing, and use.
