A CHINESE SILVER GILT AND ENAMEL FILIGREE VASE AND TAZZA

6-1/2 inches high (16.5 cm) (vase)

The gilt vase of bottleneck-form, the body with filigree ground of stylized interlaced scrolls, mounted enameled foliate and butterflies with applied filigree flowers, the tapering neck with slightly everted rim, filigree spreading circles and two scroll handles, pear-shaped amber jewels on blue enamel ground to shoulder, circular foot with single band; the tazza with enamel scene of birds on a branch to shaped bowl, baluster standard supporting the bowl with leaf-form filigree, enamel birds standing on base with beaks touching standard, bands of enamel decoration to circular foot.
