    A BALTIMORE STERLING SILVER CO. SILVER COVERED BUTTER DISH
    Baltimore Sterling Silver Co., Baltimore, Maryland, circa 1895
    Marks: (crown), B (partially effaced), 925 STERLING 1000, 7, JAMES R. ARMIGER CO.
    4 inches high x 7 inches diameter (10.2 x 17.8 cm)
    14.5 ounces (gross)

    Provenance:
    From a Private West Coast Collection

    The circular dish with shaped rim and having a domed lid with flower finial, the whole with deep chased repoussé floral and foliate decoration. Originally retailed by James R. Armiger, Baltimore, Maryland.

    Condition Report*: Showing slight wear and surface scratches particularly to underside, overall presents nicely and is well preserved.
