    The two handled loving cup with cast handles in the Hizen pattern, the fluted body with engraved, chased and acid etched aquatic decoration including seaweed, fish and seahorse decoration, gilt interior.

    According to the Gorham archives, production of this Loving Cup was begun in August 1885, using 25 troy ounces of silver which was spun and turned. Additionally, the handles were cast using Japanese-inspired marine life themes similar to those used in the Hizen pattern.
