The coffee pot with the crest of the Trevelyan family and engraved with an oval shield per pale, bearing to dexter a horse motif above wavy bars, and to sinister a lion rampant beneath three mullets, the shield is supported by two dolphins concluded with a scroll below bearing the inscription TYME TRYETH TROTH (Time Tests Faith).
