PROPERTY FROM A NEW YORK CITY ESTATE

This bowl and pair of candlesticks were commissioned by a New York City industrialist, who gave them to his wife as a birthday gift in 1948.

The pair of candlesticks, each with removable bobeche with reeded edge over bell-form capital atop broad, reeded shoulder above tapered cylindrical stem, with one node above and two nodes below, all on a stepped and reeded circular foot with engraved monogram BCJ and inscription March 16, 1948 to underside.
