    The pair of baluster-form candlesticks with stepped base rising to lobed cartouche to either side within applied floral, foliate and strap-work surround, four cast winged protome circling segmented standard with bands of gadrooning and acanthus leaf decoration.


    Condition Report*: The images show extensive tarnish, that has since been removed,  slight wobble to the base of one, slight dent to one cartouche, surface scratches commensurate with age.  The candlesticks had been fitted as lamps, with a hole drilled  between the incised decorative rim and first step of the base.
