    1 pair of tongs;
    152 total.

    The flatware service bearing various monograms including ST, B, and few with cartouches left blank, indicating Shirley's original acquisition of the set before and after her marriage to Charles Alden Black. The service is housed in a custom rosewood and crushed velvet-lined case.

    Condition Report*: Case with some wear and scratching to outside and some losses/tearing to velvet interior, some fork tines with light bending, otherwise presenting well with scattered light nicking and scratches commensurate with age, polishing, and regular use.
